Description |
This is a project to develop a new non-standard 5-bay fire station-cum-ambulance depot at the Junction of Wong Chuk Hang Road and Nam Fung Road, Hong Kong. The facilities includes the working, training and canteen facilities as well as the living quarters for the fire fighters and the ambulance teams. The project was successfully completed in 2012. |
Highlight |
The project involved the preservation of a large old banyan tree which was right in the middle of the new building block. There were also a number of old trees which were preserved through special design consideration of the auxiliary buildings and external facilities behind the main block. The M&E designs also involved a wide range of environmental features and energy saving systems. |
