Project Robert Bosch Headquarters Building
Description This is a project to build a new headquarters for Robert Bosch (SEA) PTe. Ltd., Singapore.  The building design incorporates many environmental features and achieve significant savings in power and water.  The project was successfully completed in 2010.
Highlight

Many Environmental Features in M&E Designs 

M&P incorporated many environmental features into its design, and the key features included:

  • Automated external aluminium-blind system, which operates under the command of a computerised program, and twinned to roof-mounted solar/wind sensors.
  • The installation of thin-film, mono-crystalline and poly-crystalline modules over the whole roof.  The roof of the building becomes a contributor of power, as well as a test-bed for photovoltaic research.   The photovoltaic system has a total power in excess of 90 kWp.
  • Energy efficient chiller plant system is configured to achieve an efficiency of 0.645kW/TR.
  • Estimated annual savings: about 1,800,000kWh of power and 2000 cu.m. of water.
